The Best Las Vegas Guest Shows in October 2018

In October 2018, there are a number of amazing shows taking place in Las Vegas with world-class actstaking to the city’s stages every single night.

While may be best known for its casinos, there are always plenty of world-class shows taking place. Fromconcerts, to magic shows, to sports, and everything in between, there is something for every taste.Manyacts take up residencies and will perform for months, or even years, but each .month there are a numberof one off shows that are well worth seeing. Here we will take a look at some of the best shows comingto Las Vegas venues in October 2018.  

Ozzy Osbourne needs no introduction, the Rock and Roll Hallof Fame inductee and Grammy winning singer and songwriter will be stopping in Las Vegas as part of his“No More Tours 2” tour. The title is a reference to his 1992 “No More Tours” and joining himat will be special guest Stone SourThis tour is widely considered to be Osbourne’s farewell tour andhas been produced by Live Nation.

Osbourne is celebrating more than 50 years spent performing and thistour is set to continue for a number of years, well beyond 2020. Throughout his career, Osbourne hassold more than 100 million records and many of his greatest hits are sure to feature in this farewellshow.

Joining him is the American rock bank Stone Sour. Stone Sour have released six albums, most recentlyHydrograd in 2017. They have been nominated for two Grammy Awards, both for Best Metal Performance. Theyhave sold over 2 million records in the US and their addition to this show promises to deliver fans anunforgettable experience.

This show is part of the Aubrey & the Three Amigos Tour, a co-headliningtour featuring Canadian rapper Drake and the American hip-hop trio Migos. They will stop in Vegas fortwo nights at the MGM Grand Garden Area. The tour is to promote Drake’s new album “Scorpion” andcomes soon after the two acts appeared together in the video for “Walk It Talk It”.Drake, who comesfrom Canada, is arguably one of the most successful rappers around since he rose to fame in 2010.

Hehas released a number of albums and mixtapes and his latest album, Scorpion, contains the singles “God'sPlan” and “Nice For What”, both of which made their debut on the Billboard Hot 100 in the #1 spot.The latest album had over a billion streams in its first week and a third single, “In My Feelings”,reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100.Over the years Drake has broken nearly every Billboard rap recordand he spent a full five years with at least one song on the chart. Prior to Scorpion his last albumwas “More Life”, it was referred to as a playlist album and was marketed alongside his “OVO Sound”radio show on Apple Music's Beats 1.The Migos are a rap trio from Atlanta, Georgia.

They have recentlyreleased their album, Culture II, and it features Drake on the song "Walk It, Talk It" Over the yearsJimmy Buffett has released countless classics such as “Son of a Son of a Sailor”, “Pirate Lookingat 40” and “Cheeseburger in Paradise” and his stage performances are unmissable. He will be joininghis Coral Reefer Band to take you to “Margaritaville” in this special performance.

Put on your alohashirt and head to the MGM Grand with all the other Parrotheads for a show that is sure to be packed withhumour, island escapism and lots of fun. Grab yourself a margarita on your way to the show, as it isalways 5 o’clock somewhere, and then sing along to Buffett’s classic hits.Complete with songs suchas “Too Drunk to Karaoke”, “Something ‘Bout a Boat”, “Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes”and “Fins”, the show is sure to be a fantastic experience and one you won’t soon forget.

JoiningBuffett for this show will be Boz Scaggs, the singer and songwriter best known for his chart toppingalbums from the 1970s, his hit singles such as “Lido Shuffle”, and his Grammy award winning “Lowdown”from the album “Silk Degrees”.Between the two of them, these veteran performers promise to deliveran evening those of a certain age will be talking about for years to come.

The legendary performer PhilCollins has come out of retirement and is heading to Vegas late in October. The eight-time Grammy winnerwill be taking to the MGM Grand stage as part of his Not Dead Yet tour, which begins in early Octoberin Florida.The tour is to promote his recently released compilation set “Plays Well with Others”.This is Collins first North American tour in 12 years and the first time he has been to the MGM GrandGarden Arena since his Final Farewell Tour performance in August 2004.

This tour, named after his bestsellingmemoir published in 2016, is set to continue into next year with visits to Australia and New Zealand.While Collins faded from the limelight for a while, he has recently given hope to Genesis fans sayingthat he would consider reuniting with the band with his son Nic playing drums.This show is set to featuremany of Collins’ greatest hits, and fans of Genesis and Collins’ solo works are sure to have a greatevening out. The Dropkick Murphys are returning to for one night only to perform at the Park Theaterat Park MGM.

The performance is to mark the unofficial kickoff of the UFC 229 fight weekend that willfeature close to a dozen MMA battles including the lightweight title bout between top-ranked Conor McGregorfrom Ireland and Russian challenger Khabib Nurmagomedov.The show comes after the west coast leg of theDropkick Murphys’ first ever co-headlining tour with Floggin Molly.

The band are on tour in supportof their album “11 Short Stories Of Pain & Glory”, which was released last year and debuted at#8 on the Billboard Top 200.Tickets for the show start at $50 and can be bought via the Park MGM website.After their successful European summer tour, Sting and Shaggy are bringing their joint live show to theMGM Park. The show features songs from their recently released collaborative album 44/876 as well ascollaborations on some of their most celebrated hits such as “Every Breath You Take”, “EnglishmanIn New York”, “Message In A Bottle”, “It Wasn’t Me”, “Mr. Boombastic” and “Angel”.

Thetwo veteran performers first joined forces in an LA studio when Shaggy sent Sting a song he was workingon, “Don’t Make Me Wait”. Sting immediately liked the catchy tune and the two enjoyed working togetherso much that they went on to create a full-length album together.The title of their album referencestheir respective telephone country codes (44 for the UK and 876 for Jamaica), and the album is a tributeto their deep-rooted love for Jamaica, Shaggy’s birthplace and the location where Sting wrote classicssuch as “Every Breath You Take”.

In this show they are joined by Sting’s players ‪Dominic Miller(guitar), ‪Josh Freese (drums) and Rufus Miller (guitar) as well as Shaggy’s band members MelissaMusique (backing vocals), Gene Noble (backing vocals) and Kevon Webster (keyboards).The show promisesto be a once in a lifetime experience and fans of either artist are sure to have an evening to remember.

Now she is returning with “Classic Cher” in thisspecially designed production that can only be seen at the Park Theater and The Theater at MGM NationalHarbor.Speaking about the show Cher said, “I plan to make this my best show ever. I am extremely excitedabout both of these new theaters – they are state-of-the-art and beautiful.”Any fans of the singershould take the chance to see this show before she does really embark on a final farewell tour.

For thefirst time ever the entertainers Reba, Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn will be joining forces for a limitedcountry music residency in Las Vegas.Reba has become a household name with a career that has includedmusic, television, film, theatre and more. She has thirty-five #1 singles and she has sold over 56 millionalbums across the world. Reba has won 15 American Music Awards, 13 Academy of Country Music Awards, 9People’s Choice Awards, 7 Country Music Association Awards, 2 Grammy Awards, and an ACM Career AchievementHonor.

Paul Shaffer, best known for conducting the house band for the latenight legend David Letterman, is coming to for three nights in October with a range of musical delights.Overthe years Shaffer has risen to fame in his own right and he has done a huge amount. He is the musicaldirector and producer of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, he led the band for the “WeAre the World” finale of Live Aid, he hosted CBS’s 1994 New Year’s Eve special and far more.Theshow is set to include a range of pop, funk and R&B classics and covers mixed with stories from hisforty-plus years of working with some of the biggest names in entertainment.

The journalist and late-nighthost are teaming up for one night in Las Vegas and it is sure to be an evening to remember.Anderson Cooperhas been the host of “Anderson Cooper 360” since 2003 and in many ways has become the face of CNN.His partner for the night, Andy Cohen, is just as successful with his own shows, books and more, andhits such as “The Real Housewives” and “Watch What Happens Live” to his name.The show is sureto be a barrel of laughs and well worth making a trip to Vegas to see.

Christina Aguilera has sold over43 million records and had five #1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.Earlier this year she explodedback onto the scene with her first releases in six years and she is now on the road with the Liberationtour, her first tour in a decade.

Aguilera is easily one of the most successful female artists of alltime, from her earlier songs such as “What a Girl Wants”, to her collaboration with Maroon 5 on “Moveslike Jagger”, and now her new releases are bringing in even more fans.The first single from the newalbum, “Accelerate” was released in May and early reviews of this tour suggest that it is a shownot to be missed. The Moody Blues are continuing their Days of Future Passed 50 AnniversaryTour at Wynn Las Vegas with a total of nine dates (the first six were in September) in the Encore Theatre.Ledby band members Justin Hayward, John Lodge and Graeme Edge, the show is set to be a commemorative experiencein two parts.

The first part will include the band’s greatest rock hits and it will be followed bya showcase of the Days of Future Passed album. The album, released in 1967, was a ground-breaking orchestralrock concept album and perhaps what the band is best known for.

It is one of the best-selling albumsof all time, and loved to this day. They are coming to Vegas having recently been inducted into the Rockand Roll Hall of Fame, and anyone who sees this show is sure to understand why. John Fogerty will betaking to the stage at Wynn six times in October and celebrating American rock with songs from CreedenceClearwater Revival.Fogerty’s career has spanned more than 50 years and he has millions of fans.

TheRock and Roll Hall of Fame legend will be taking fans on a tour of his Creedence Clearwater Revival classicsand the solo hits that made him into one of the most influential musicians of recent times. His musicis loved to this day and people of all ages are sure to have a great time.

There has been overwhelmingdemand for Diana Ross to return to the Encore Theater and she will be doing so for nine dates startingat the end of October.Ross is known as one of the world’s greatest entertainers, she is an inducteeof the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and the winner of a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.

Ross has carefullychosen a number of songs from her huge catalogue specifically for this run of shows and each show willbe a celebration of award-winning repertoire. There will be many more fantastic shows to see in throughoutOctober. Planet Hollywood will be hosting Lionel Richie and the Backstreet Boys, at the Mirage you cansee Matt Gross, Boyz II Men, Ray Romano and David Spade, Daniel Tosh, Bill Maher and more.
