The Best Las Vegas Shows in January 2019

Don’t worry if your year has got off to a slow start, in Las Vegas there are plenty of shows, concerts, sporting events, and more to enjoy.
While the New Year may have only just begun, things are in full swing in Las Vegas and the weeks aheadare packed with shows to suit every taste. Read on to discover some of the most exciting acts comingto Las Vegas this month.

T-Mobile ArenaJanuary 12 th: Disturbed with Special Guest Three Days Grace

Disturbed are one of the most successful rock bands in modern history. They multi-platinum selling quartet achieved five consecutive number one debuts on the Billboard Top 200, putting them alongside the likes of Metallica. They have been nominated for Grammy awards, sold 16 million albums globally, and scored twelve No. 1 singles at Active Rock Radio.Joining Disturbed is Three Days Grace who, since 2003, have been amongst the hard rock vanguard, breaking records, topping charts, and selling millions across the world. They also hold the all-time record for “most #1 singles at Active Rock Radio ever” with 13. The quartet, from Ontario, Canada, have not let up and are now promoting their sixth full-length album “Outsider”.

January 26th: Calibash: Enrique Iglesias, Wisin, Yandel, Becky G & Bad Bunny

Calibash Las Vegas is built on a retro concept that takes you from the 80s to the present. It will turn the T-Mobile Arena into a giant disco complete with dance floor and VIP lounges. A huge variety of acts are performing including Enrique Iglesias, Ozuna, Wisin, Yandel, Becky G, Bad Bunny, Farruko, Larry Over, Anuel AA and Osmani Garcia.The Calibash is part of the Morphis Weekend Latino, which celebrates the Latin American culture in the United States. The weekend starts with National Banda Day on January 25th at the T-Mobile Arena during which Banda El Recodo, La Arrolladora Banda El Limón, Gerardo Ortiz, Banda Los Recoditos, La Adictiva, Christian Nodal, Los Ángeles Azules, Raymix and Gabby Tamez are all set to perform.

Park MGMJanuary 17th – 31st: Lady Gaga

The six-time Grammy award winner, Golden Globe award winner, and Academy Award nominee superstar Lady Gaga is continuing her Las Vegas residency at the Park MGM in the second half of the month.Her residency is comprised of two separate show, Lady Gaga Enigma, which is a brand-new odyssey of her pop hits built in to a true Vegas experience, and Lady Gaga Jazz & Piano, a more intimate experience where she will perform stripped-down versions of her hits together with music from the Great American Songbook.She will be performing Lady Gaga Enigma on January 17, 19, 24, 26 and 31, while the Lady Gaga Jazz & Piano show will be taking place on January 20.She began her residency with preview shows last month and they received rave reviews.Billboard's Andreas Hale said Gaga served “an absolutely delicious smorgasbord of pop music, performance art and fantastic futurism during her 90-minute set that kicked off in true Gaga fashion.”“Enigma is a full theatrical production with an overarching theme of Lady Gaga seeking to find her inner voice in a narrative that is part 'Wizard of Oz' and part 'Ghost in the Shell' as Gaga interacted with an artificial lifeform known as 'Enigma' on the oversized screens,” Hale continued. “The set pieces were just as grandiose and over-the-top as the performances themselves.”People's Mark Gray praised the residency as a “highly energetic show.” “Simply put, it lived up to the hype,” Gray said. “Enigma was very theatrical and very 'Gaga.'”Lady Gaga will be at the Park MGM throughout this year, but tickets are selling fast so be sure to book soon to ensure you do not miss out.

This month there are a number of famous acts appearing at the MGM Grand all month long including David Copperfield, Brad Garrett’s Comedy Club, Jabbaqockeez, Cirque Du Soleil and more.

January 1st – 31st: David Copperfield

The world famous magician David Copperfield is at the MGM Grand all month long. Famous for his many television appearances that include amazing tricks and escape acts, Copperfield brings all of his energy to a show that promises to astound.Watch as he walks through sheets of metal, slices people in half, contorts his body and more. January 1st – 31st: Brad Garrett’s Comedy Club

The MGM Grand is the only place in Las Vegas where you will be able to watch Brad Garrett performing live together with some of the biggest names in stand-up comedy. His shows also give you the chance to discover new faces on the comedy scene that have been invited along by Garrett.This month you can see him with performers such as Paul Ogata and Landry, Darrell Joyce and Heath Harmison, Louis Ramey and Kristin Key, and Michael Somerville and Mike Gaffney.Brad Garret is a three-time Emmy Award winner who rose to fame for his role as Robert Barone in the television series Everybody Loves Raymond, and is now equally loved as a stand-up comic. January 19th: Premier Boxing Champions Manny Pacquiao vs Adrien Broner

No boxing fan will want to miss this night. Pacquiao, boxing’s only eight-division world champion, will be ending his two year hiatus from US boxing when he returns to Las Vegas to defend his World Boxing Association welterweight world title against the former four division world champion Adrien Broner.It promises to be a fight to remember with both boxers capable of delivering an amazing show. Caesars PalaceJanuary 2nd – 20th: Celine Dion

Celine Dion, the international superstar, is in the final few months of her production Celine at the Colosseum. It is due to end in June this year, so ay fans of the singer should be sure to book their tickets as soon as possible.She will be taking to the stage a number of times over the coming weeks in a show that features all of her greatest hits. The Las Vegas Review Journal has called the production “the show of shows” and it has received a huge number of excellent reviews over its run.Celine Dion has won five Grammy awards, including Album of the Year and Best Pop Album for Falling Into You (1996), and Record of the Year and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for “My Heart Will Go On” (1998). Her recordings have won two Academy Awards: Best Original Song in 1992 for the title song of Beauty and the Beast (with Peabo Bryson), and in 1998 for “My Heart Will Go On” (From Titanic). January 17 – 21st: Puddles Pity Party

Puddles Pity Party, the soft-hearted, 7 foot tall singing clown, is in Vegas for his first ever artist residency. He will be performing nine shows at Caesars Palace over the coming weeks, with four of them this month.Puddles will be performing new material as well as his classic songs. The shows promise to be packed full of surprises and the entire thing has been custom designed to suit the intimate layout of Cleopatra’s Barge, the last of the iconic “old Las Vegas” showrooms.Puddles Pity Party has drawn over 120 million views on YourTube with his interpretations of classics by ABBA, Bowie, Cheap Trick and Queen. He recently appeared on America’s Got Talent and he has toured extensively in the US at views such as the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco, the Kennedy Center in D.C. and the Troubadour in Los Angeles.

January 25th: Van Morrison

Van Morrison was due to appear in Las Vegas for one night only but due to massive demand he has added two more dates. Van Morrison is a legendary performer who has been working as a travelling musician playing guitar and saxophone since the age of 13. In 1964 Morrison formed the group ‘Them’, which went on to record hits such as “Gloria” and “Here Comes the Night”. Soon afterwards he released the sensation “Brown Eyed Girl” and began his career as a successful solo musician.Since then Van Morrison has released over 35 albums and has put together one of the most respected catalogues in the business including singles such as “Moondance,” “Have I Told You Lately” and “Days Like This.” Over the years Morrison has collected a number of awards and accolades including a knighthood, honorary degrees from two prestigious universities, a Brit Award, an OBE (Order of the British Empire), six Grammys and entry into the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame.Any fans of the performer are sure to have a great night so be sure to book tickets today.

The VenetianJanuary 18th – 30th: ZZ Top

ZZ Top, or “That Little Ol’ Band From Texas” are one of the longest running major rock bands with the original personnel still intact. In 2003 the trio were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, marking almost 50 years of creating rock and blues together.They have performed for millions over the years across North America as well as overseas where they have filled venues from Slovenia to Argentina, from Australia to Sweden, from Russia to Japan and most points in between.The band’s music is instantly recognizable. January 15th – 31st: Human Nature Jukebox

Las Vegas is famous for magic shows and Criss Angel is one of the top performers currently in town. He is one of the best-known names in the world of illusions and he is at Planet Hollywood to take his show to a new level, in the city where it all began.Angel began the Mindfreak show in 2005 at the Planet Hollywood before it was picked up as a television series that changed the entire nature of the magic on TV.
