Summer is in full swing in Las Vegas and there is plenty taking place to keep visitors entertained on and off the casino floors. Every day there is a thrilling selection of shows to choose from including concerts, theatre, acrobats, comedians, magicians and more. It doesn’t matter what kind of shows you enjoy, you are guaranteed to find plenty that appeals. Here you can find some of next month’s highlights, so if you are planning your trip for August be sure to have a careful read through so that you do not miss out. 

Park MGMAugust 2nd,3rd, 7th, 9th, 10th, 14th, 16th, 17th: Janet Jackson  This month Janet Jackson will be performing the final nights of her headlining residency Metamorphosis at the Park Theater. Jackson, a multiple Grammy Award Winner, multi-platinum artist, and worldwide celebrity, has been thrilling fans with her show over the last two months and it has received fantastic reviews.The show takes fans on a journey exploring the life of Janet Jackson and her transformation from a shy young girl to one of the best-known and most impressive performers and singers in the world.

Audiences have emerged from the show in awe of the incredible visual effects, the dance routines, and of course, Jackson’s performances of her greatest hits. The show also features a special 30-year anniversary celebration of Jackson’s revolutionary album Rhythm Nation.The show’s tagline reads, “Fans will follow her path to self-love, empowerment, motherhood and activism, amidst the challenges faced along her personal journey.

She encourages her audiences to find their own light within themselves through her Metamorphosis.”The show has been a huge success and there has been a great deal of competition for tickets. If you want to see this show then make sure that you don’t delay booking tickets as they could soon be sold out. August 21st, 23rd, 24th, 28th, 31st: CherCherOver the last 50+ years, since the early days of Sonny & Cher, Cher has become one of the most iconic performers of our time and she is a worldwide household name.

Over the years she has sold more than 100 million records across the globe as well as performed in films, Broadway and television, and even tried her hand at directing.Cher can also claim to have had the most successful tour ever by a female artist thanks to her “Farewell Tour”, which lasted from 2003 to 2005 and included 325 shows across the world that were enjoyed by more than three million fans.

This year she is performing exclusively for MGM Resorts in an exciting show called “Classic Cher”. It is a specially designed production that can only be seen at the Park Theater and The Theater at the MGM National Harbor.Speaking about the new show, Cher said, “I plan to make this my best show ever. I am extremely excited about both of these new theaters – they are state-of-the-art and beautiful.”If you are a fan of Cher then you should do your best to see this show. It promises to be an evening that you will never forget and will include classics such as Believe, If I Could Turn Back Time, The Shoop Shoop Song, I Got You Babe, Strong Enough, and many more.

August 16th: Lynyrd Skynyrd

Lynyrd-SkynyrdLynyrd Skynyrd are coming to Vegas as part of theLast of the Street Farewell Tour. The tour has been taking the band across the country and aroundthe world, and it has been giving fans an unforgettable night of classic American Rock ‘n’Roll. Joining the band are special guests Bad Company and Lainey Wilson. The tour has received fantasticreviews wherever it has been and it truly could be one of the last opportunities to see this iconic bandperform. Be sure to book your tickets before it is too late.

August 23rd, 24th: George Strait

George-StraitThe King of Country is returning to the T-Mobile Arena this August with this Straight to Vegas show. Joining him will be special guest Ashley McBryde in an evening that fans are sure to remember for the rest of their lives.Since the 1980s, Strait has enjoyed success after success. His first single ‘Unwound’ was a hit in 1981 and in the following years, seven of his albums reached number one in the country charts. Since the turn of the millennium he has

been named ‘Artist of the Decade’ by the Academy of Country Music, he was elected into the Country Music Hall of Fame, and he won his first Grammy Award for the album ‘Troubadour’. He has been named CMA Entertainer of the year on three occasions and ACM Entertainer of the Year on two. He has been nominated for more CMA and ACM awards and has more wins in both categories than any other artist.

August 14th – 31st: Def Leppard

August 1st – 31st: Criss Angel Mindfreak

Criss-Angel-MindfreakLas Vegas is famous for magic shows and Criss Angel is one of the city’s top regular performers.He is one of the best-known names in the world of magic and he is in the midst of a residency at PlanetHollywood where he is taking his art to a new level, in the city where it all began.Angel began the Mindfreakshow in 2005 at the Planet Hollywood before it was picked up as a television series that changed theentire nature of the magic on TV. He has now revamped the show and is confident that it will amaze hisfans.The show includes more than 75 tricks, including 20 that are brand new. Fans of stand-up comedy will want to make sure that they pay a visit to Brad Garrett’s Comedy Clubwhile they are in Las Vegas. August 1st – 31st: Jabbawockeez

They put on aspectacular show featuring astounding choreography, fantastic music, and exciting special effects. Theshow has been designed to bring you closer to the dancers than ever before, and it is one of the mostimmersive dance shows in the world. The Jabbawockeez have been described as the most influential dancecrew in the world and for three years in a row, the show was voted the “Best Family Show”and the “Best All Ages Show”.

August 25th, 26th: Daniel Emmet
