The Basics of Live Hi-Lo
Live Hi-Lo is played with six decks of card. The dealer begins the round by placing a card face-up on the table and then it is up to you to bet on what you think the next face-up card will be.
There are three basic bets that you can use, Snap, Lower, and Higher. You will see the odds displayed next to each bet. The odds are dynamic, meaning that they will change depending on the value of the face-up card. For example, if the face-up card is a 9 then there will be a larger payout available for betting Higher than for Lower. However, Snap is a fixed odds bet and it offers a payout of 12.06 times your bet, which is the highest payout offered by the game.
When all the bets have been placed the dealer will throw away the top three cards from the pack and then turn the next one face-up. You will then receive any payouts that you have won, the cards thrown away by the dealer are returned to the deck and the face-up card becomes the starting point for the next round.
Live Hi-Lo Side Bets and Other Features
To make Live Hi-Lo even more enjoyable there are a number of side bets that you can place. The side bets are further bets on the value of the face-up card. You can bet on it being an Ace, an Ace or a King, a Black or a Red card, or in the range 2 to 5, 6 to 9 or J to A. The Ace bet pays 11.56 times your bet, the Ace or King bet pays 5.78 times your bet, the Black or Red bet pays 1.92 times your bet, and the range bets all payout 2.89 times your bet.
At the end of each round you do not have to collect all of your winnings, instead you can leave some of them as the bet for the next round. You will see that there are two buttons, Collect All and Collect Some. The Collect All button is self-explanatory, if you click on Collect some then it will return at least 10% of your winnings to you, the exact amount will depend on the smallest available chip value.
The game also gives you the option to tip the dealers as part of your interaction with them.
