The Basics of Live Mini Baccarat
Live Mini Baccarat follows the same rules as the regular Baccarat game, the only difference is that you will be the only player seated at the table. The game is played with eight decks of cards and the aim of the game is to put together a hand of cards that has a value of 9. The person who gets closest to 9 wins the round.
At the start of each round, you need to place a bet on the Banker, Player or a Tie. After placing the bet, you and the dealer will each receive two-face up cards. In Baccarat the number cards are worth their face values, Aces are worth 1 and face cards (Jacks, Queens and Kings) are all worth 10. If the value of your two cards added together is greater than ten then the first digit is ignored, for instance a hand of 13 is worth 3.
There are some circumstances in which a third card may be dealt to the player, the dealer or both. The rules about this are fairly complicated and it can take a while to fully memorise them. If you wish to read them then you can find them in the main game rules; however, the dealer will deal the cards if necessary without you having to make any decisions, so it is not essential for you to understand them.
Any winning bets are paid out at the end of the round. The Player and Banker bets both payout at 2:1 and a Tie bet pays out at 8:1.
Live Mini Baccarat Side Bets, Scoring Cards and More
With each round of the game, you will also have the chance to place six different side bets, the Big, Small, Banker Pair, Player Pair, Either Pair and Perfect Pair. The various Pair bets are all on the first two cards dealt to the Player or the Banker and payout if the cards have the same value. The payouts range from 5:1 to 25:1 depending on the type of pair. The Small bet pays out if a total of 4 cards are dealt to the player and banker, and the Big bet pays out if a total of 5 or 6 cards are dealt to the player and banker.
Those who use Baccarat scorecard to help them spot trends will find the Big Road, Big Eye Road, Small Road and Cockroach Road cards all available in the game. You can choose to view up to three of them at once and can customise the display.
When there are roughly two decks of cards left in the shoe, you will see the shuffler arrive at the table, collect the used cards and then shuffle the new ones.
